Gurla, Vizianagaram: YSRCP leaders have condemned the TDP coalition government for its inadequate response to the diarrhea outbreak in Vizianagaram, which has tragically claimed 11 lives and hospitalized many others.
Former Deputy Chief Minister P. Rajanna Dora criticized the lack of serious action, stating that patients are being treated in makeshift school camps without proper beds. Government hospitals, he explained, are overwhelmed, while private facilities are overcrowded with patients struggling to receive care.
YSRCP District President Majji Srinivasa Rao expressed frustration over the local MLA’s absence in the affected areas, citing it as evidence of the government’s disregard for the community’s well-being. He stressed that, despite the worsening situation, there has been no substantial action from the administration.
Former Minister Dr. Seediri Appalaraju, after visiting the area, reported dire conditions in the medical camps, with minimal facilities and no adequate medical services. He demanded immediate compensation for the families of those who lost their lives and urged the government to enhance care for the affected residents.
