The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government cancelled the registration of 76 vehicles belonging to JC Travels.
The YSRCP officials cancelled registration of 76 BS-3 vehicles registered as BS-4 with forged documents. The YSRCP officials alleged J.C. Diwakar Reddy, the former minister of A.P., and member of the Telugu Desam Party ((TDP) of forgery.
The officials further added, the JC Travels owned by J.C. Diwakar Reddy have received fake insurance certificates for 154 vehicles.
According to sources, the State Transport authorities seized 60 vehicles and the remaining 94 vehicles are alleged to have been kept in anonymity by JC Brothers. Officials also identified four lorries turned into buses and passed a resolution that insurance is no longer applicable to those travelling on Diwakar Travel buses.
Shiva Ramprasad, the Deputy Transport Commissioner of Anantapur, said, “JC Travels made a lot of mistakes and cheated the lives of passengers; buses and lorries purchased were against the Supreme Court order.”
The YSRCP Government issued notice to the Diwakar family regarding the matter.
