Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, took another crucial step to fight corruption in the State.

On the 21st of November, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA.)

In collaboration with IIM Ahmedabad, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) would study issues related to corruption in different government departments in AP.

The IIM representatives and YSRCP Government officials signed the MoU in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy after a meeting was held at the YSRCP Camp Office, Tadepalli.  The AP Government, IIMA and the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) would work together to fight corruption and establish a corruption free State.

Sundaravalli Narayanaswamy, a professor at IIMA, said, “It is a great privilege for the IIMA to work with the Andhra Pradesh Government.”

According to the signed deal, the IIM would study the reasons and issues related to corruption at all the levels of the AP Government.  After scrutinising these, IIMA would submit a detailed report to the AP Government, suggesting measures to prevent corruption. This report would be submitted by the 3rd week of February 2020.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagan Mohan Reddy said the deal would enhance the YSRCP’s stand on corruption and would benefit the public of AP.  The deal would also be instrumental in establishing a transparent and corruption free Government in the State.

Nilam Sawhney, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and Gautam Sawang, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh, were present during the event and the meeting.
