The Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court in Hyderabad, on the 22nd of November, adjourned the disproportionate assets case against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The lawyer of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared at the CBI Court in relation to the disproportionate assets case.

Jagan’s lawyer, on his behalf, requested the CBI Court to exempt him from personal appearance as he was on a tour as the Chief Minister.

The Special CBI Court in Nampally, Telangana, heard the case and reviewed all the 11 chargesheets filed against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

However, as the main accused were absent from the legal proceedings, the CBI Court adjourned the case until the next hearing.

Recently, on the 1st of November, the CBI Court rejected the plea of Jagan Mohan Reddy to exempt him from personal appearance.

The CBI Court said since Jagan Mohan Reddy holds a powerful position, he may influence and manipulate the witnesses in the case if granted exemption from personal appearance.

The next hearing regarding the disproportionate assets case against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled on the 6th of December.

Stay tuned for further updates.
