Actor turned politician Sunny Deol tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Mr. Deol, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP on the 2nd of December, took to Twitter and said, “मैंने कोरोना टेस्ट करवाया और रिपोर्ट पॉजिटिव आई है। मैं एकांतवास में हूं और मेरी तबीयत ठीक है। मेरा अनुरोध है कि आप में से जो भी लोग गत कुछ दिनों में मेरे संपर्क में आयें हैं, कृपया स्वयं को आइसोलेट कर अपनी जाँच करवाएं।”
(I have tested positive for coronavirus. I appeal to the people who came in contact with me recently to isolate themselves and go for the COVID-19 test.)
Mr. Deol asked those who have come in close contact with him to test themselves for the infection.
He also said that he has isolated himself after his COVID-19 test results came out positive.
Mr. Deol’s spokesperson addressed the media and said, “Sunny Deol got tested himself for COVID-19 yesterday in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, before coming back to Mumbai. He has been tested positive but is asymptomatic and feeling absolutely alright.”
He is currently stable and is isolating himself at his farmhouse in Manali, Himachal Pradesh.
