On the 5th of December, the Health Minister of Haryana Anil Vij tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
According to sources, Mr. Vij is currently undergoing treatment for the deadly virus at Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt.
Anil Vij confirmed himself being COVID-19 positive through a tweet. The tweet read, “I have been tested Corona (Novel Coronavirus) positive. I am admitted in Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt. All those who have come in close contact to me are advised to get themselves tested for corona (Novel Coronavirus.) (Sic.)”
It is also noted, Anil Vij was one of the person who was administered a dose of COVAXIN, a potential candidate for COVID-19 developed by the Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)
Mr. Vij was given the dose of COVAXIN on the 20th of November, during the third phase trials.
