India’s Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases crossed 99.32 lakhs or 9.93 million cases till the 16th of December.
In the past 24 hours, the Nation recorde 26,382 new COVID-19 infections.
The new cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 16th of December.
Besides new cases, India recorded 387 new fatalities and 33,813 recoveries from COVID-19.
The official updated data is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)
According to the data, India has 99,32,547 positive cases, of which 94,56,449 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,44,096 are deceased cases.
The National recovery rate also stands at 95.21%, while the COVID-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.45%.
The COVID-19 active caseload remained below 4 lakh for the 10th consecutive day with 3.34% of the total caseload.
Highlighting the graph of India’s COVID-19 tally, India had crossed the 20 lakh mark on the 7th of August, 30 lakh on the 23rd of August and 40 lakh on the 5th of September.
It continued and crossed 50 lakh on the 16th of September, 60 lakh on the 28th of September 28, 70 lakh on the 11th of October, 80 lakh on the 29th of October and 90 lakh on the 20th of November.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Nation conducted COVID-19 tests for 15,66,46,280 samples including 10,85,625 tests, which were conducted in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the global tally of the Novel Coronavirus cases stands at 73,760,663. While 51,779,444 have recovered, 1,640,070 have succumbed to the COVID-19 infection.
