The Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin updating about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation in the State.
As per the media bulletin, from 8:00 P.M., of the 14th of December, till 8:00 P.M., of the 15th of December, the State reported 536 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
In addition to the new cases, the State recorded 622 recoveries and 3 deaths.
According to the released data, the highest number of single day cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) with 43 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 41 from Rangareddy and 27 from Warangal Urban.
Speaking of the remaining cases, 26 each were from Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam, 22 from Karimnagar, 19 each from Nalgonda and Sangareddy, 17 from Mancherial, 16 from Siddipet, 15 each from Peddapalli and Nizamabad, 14 from Jagtial, 11 each from Suryapet and Mahabubnagar, 9 each from Adilabad, Mulugu and Rajanna Sircilla, 8 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Medak, Mahabubabad and Jangaon, 7 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komarambheem Asifabad and Nagarkurnool, 6 each from Warangal Rural and Kamareddy, 5 each from Nirmal and Vikarabad, 3 from Jogulamba Gadwal and 2 from Wanaparthy.
Two districts of Telangana, Nalgonda and Narayanpet did not report a single case of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The Telangana Health Department also confirmed 52,057 sample tests for the Novel Coronavirus infection. The tests include 22,905 primary contacts and 6,246 secondary contacts and others who took the tests at private and government hospitals.
With these updates, till the 16th of December, Telangana has 2,79,135 positive cases, of which 7,183 are active cases, 2,70,450 recovered/discharged cases and 1,502 deceased.
Telangana is one of the States with the highest recovery rate (96.80 %) and fatality rate below 0.56 %.
