India is witnessing a constant fall in the active cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
On the 12th of May, Thursday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 2,827 new coronavirus infections, taking the total tally to 4,31,13,413. In addition, the active cases dipped to 19,067 and 24 death cases, taking the overall tally to 5,24,181. Notably, the active cases comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national Wuhan virus recovery rate was 98.74%.
Meanwhile, the number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,25,70,165, while the case fatality rate was 1.22%.
In addition, the cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive have crossed 190.83 crores.
