India witnessed a single day rise of 5,554 coronavirus infections, taking the tally of the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases to 4,44,90,283
On the 10th of September, Saturday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) released data, updating the Wuhan virus case statistics in India.
According to the updated data, active COVID-19 cases have declined to 48,850 while the death toll has climbed to 5,28,139 with 18 fatalities. Of the total fatalities, maximum deaths were recorded in Kerala.
In addition, the active cases comprises 0.18% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.70%, the Health Ministry confirmed. In the past 24 hours, a decline of 786 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.17% and the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.47%.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19%.
Meanwhile, according to the ministry, 214.77 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive.
