The daily cases of the Wuhan virus are rising constantly in India, raising alarming concerns for people and the concerned administration. With the constant cases above 8,000, the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) active cases stood at 79,313.
On the 21st of June, Tuesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 9,923 new Wuhan virus cases, with 17 fatalities. In addition, the Health Ministry also reported 7,293 recovered cases in the past 24 hours.
With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Tuesday, India has a total tally of Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,27,15,193 are recovered/discharged cases, 53,637 are active cases and 5,24,890 death cases, till date. The new cases were confirmed after conducting 3,88,641 sample tests for the Wuhan virus, taking the tally to 85.85 crores till date.
Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.18% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.61% with a 1.21% fatality rate.
Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 195.50 crore vaccine doses. With 13,00,024 vaccinations in the last 24 hours, the total number vaccination number has reached 1,96,32,43,003.
