After reporting a dip in the Wuhan virus cases, India again started recording more than 45,000 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
On the 1st of July, the Nation reported a rise in single day cases, compared to the cases registered on the 30th of June.
In the past 24 hours, India reported 48,786 new cases, 2,835 more than the COVID-19 cases (45, 951) registered on the 30th of June, Wednesday.
Besides reporting 48,786 new cases, the nation registered 1,005 deaths and 61,588 recovered/discharged cases in the past 24 hours. The new cases were confirmed after testing 19,60,757 samples. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR,) as many as 41,01,00,044 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till date.
Though the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases, the death cases and new cases are rising in India. The new figures of COVID-19 were updated by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 1st of July, Thursday.
With this, India has 3,04,11,634 positive cases, of which 2,94,88,918 are recoveries, 5,23,257 are active cases and 3,99,459 deceased cases. In addition, the active cases constitute about 1.72 % of the total cases, 0.05 % less than yesterday, recovery rate is at 97 %, from the previous 96.92 % and fatality rate is at 2.69 %.

Meanwhile, cumulatively the country has so far administered 33,57,16,019 anti COVID-19 vaccine jabs. As many as 27,60,345 from these were given in the last 24 hours.
