India Reports 60,753 New Wuhan Virus Cases With 96 % Recovery Rate

On the 19th of June, India recorded 60,753 new cases of the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. 

In addition to 60,753 new cases, the country reported 1,647 fatalities and 97,743 recovered/discharged cases in the past 24 hours. This is the second consecutive day that the nation recorded below 2,000 death cases and 12th consecutive day that India recorded 1,00,000 cases of the Wuhan virus.

With this, India has now 2,98,23,546 positive cases, of which 7,60,019 are active cases, 2,86,78,390 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,85,137 deceased cases.

The updated figures of the COVID-19 are available on the official website of the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Saturday.

In addition, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) confirmed 38,92,07,637 samples being tested till the 18th of June for COVID-19. Of these 19,02,009 samples were tested on the 19th of June.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry also confirmed a total of 27,23,88,783 people being vaccinated against the Wuhan virus. Of the total people vaccinated, approximately 33,00,085 people were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.

The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reported a decline in India. With the enhanced medical infrastructure and ongoing measures to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, India achieved a recovery rate of 96 % and fatality rate at 1.26 %.
