On the 26th of November, Friday, the Government of India, announced to resume international flight services.
The decision to resume regular international flights was taken after consulting the Union Health Ministry and the Union Aviation Ministry. The international flight services would resume from the 15th of December.
However, 14 countries, including Bangladesh, Mauritius, Finland, China, Botswana, South Africa, UK, France, Netherlands, Singapore, Brazil, New Zealand, Germany, and Zimbabwe are dropped from the list.
The Union Civil Aviation Ministry, released a statement regarding the same. The Statement read, “The matter of resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger services to and from India has been examined in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and it has been decided that scheduled commercial international passenger services to and from India may be resumed from December 15, 2021.”
Due to the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, international l flight services were suspended in March 2020. With the announcement, it would resume after 20 months duration.
