On the afternoon of the 19th of May, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, visited Gandhi Hospital.
The visit to the State run Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad was to inspect the Wuhan virus condition, cleanliness and other situation of patients. K. Chandrashekhar Rao made a surprise visit to Gandhi Hospital, the COVID-19 treatment designated hospital in Telangana.
During his visit, KCR inspected the COVID-19 emergency ward, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and also the Out-Patient ward. He also interacted with the patients and inquired about the treatment being provided to them. He comforted the Wuhan virus victims and assured all support for their well being.
The TRS Chief also expressed satisfaction over the services provided by the hospital and appreciated medical staff.
He applauded junior doctors, nursing staff, ward boys and other staff members for rendering services at the time of Wuhan virus pandemic. He also inquired with the hospital authorities about the availability of emergency medicines, oxygen supply and Remedesivir injection. He instructed them on keeping adequate stock of medicines and other supplies to ensure that the patients receive the best possible treatment.
After the surprise visit to the Gandhi Hospital, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is scheduled to conduct a meeting. The meeting is scheduled to be held with the top medical officials at . Pragathi Bhavan. During the meeting, Mr. Rao would discuss the second wave of the Wuhan virus and the ongoing lockdown.
Meanwhile, on the 18th of May, the Telangana Government extended the imposed lockdown till the 30th of May.
