The Telangana Health Department confirmed 415 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The cases were confirmed through a media bulletin, released on the night of the 30th of December.

The Telangana Health Department releases the media bulletin everyday to update about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the State.

Out of the total 415 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded the highest number with 91 cases.

The other districts which reported COVID-18 cases are 43 from Rangareddy, 39 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 33 from Karimnagar, 31 from Warangal Urban, 17 from Mancherial, 16 from Sangareddy, 11 from Khammam, 9 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem and Peddapalli, 7 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mahabubabad.

The remaining cases were 6 each from Adilabad, Jagtial, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Warangal Rural and Yadadri Bhongir, 5 each from Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, Mulugu, Wanaparthy, 4 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 3 each from Kamareddy, Nirmal, Rajanna Sircilla and 2 from Jogulamba Gadwal.

Narayanpet recorded zero cases of COVID-19.

Besides 415 new positive cases, the State recorded 3 deaths and 316 recovered/discharged cases.

With the aforementioned data, Telangana has 2,86,354 positive cases, 2,78,839 recovered/discharged cases, 1,541 deceased cases and 5,974 active cases. Of the total active cases, 3,823 are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, the State Health Department conducted a total of 43,413 COVID-19 tests, taking the cumulative total to 68,82,694 so far.

The State Government is also taking additional care and precautions to control the spread of new strain of COVID-19.

The Telangana Health Ministry urged people to be cautious during new year celebrations and avoid any kind of gatherings.

Telangana is currently having a recovery rate more than 96 % and fatality rate below 0.47 %.
