Telangana COVID-19 Cases Rise With 337 Single Day Spike, Total At 3.3 Lakhs

Telangana is witnessing a surge in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases. In the past 24 hours, the State reported 337 new COVID-19 cases. 

Of the total 337 new cases, the highest number of cases 91, were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) followed by Ranga Reddy (37) and Medchal Malkajgiri districts (28.)

The COVID-19 update was given through a media bulletin, released on the night of the 21st of March. According to the bulletin, besides the 337 new cases, the State reported 2 deaths and 181 recoveries.

With this, Telangana has 3,03,455 positive cases, of which 2,98,826 are recovered/discharged cases, 2,958 are active cases and 1,671 deceased.

It is the 7th consecutive day, the State is reporting a rise in cases with more than 300 single day spikes. Recoveries are also less than 200.

In addition, the Telangana Medical Department conducted COVID-19 test for 37,079 samples on the 21st of March. With this the cumulative number of COVID-19 tests done in Telangana stand at 96,50,662.

Telangana has 98.47 % recovery rate and 0.55 % fatality rate from COVID-19.
