On Tuesday, the 7th of December, Telangana reported 203 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19.) Besides the new cases, the State witnessed 1 death and 160 recoveries. In the past few days, Telangana COVID-19 cases are rising whereas recoveries are decreasing. On Monday, the State reported 195 new cases, 171 recoveries, which increased to 203 (new cases) and 160 (decreased recoveries) in just 24 hours.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 40,730 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.88 crores (2,88,41,993) Wuhan virus tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is the only area which reports the highest number of cases. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 87 new COVID-19 cases. Of the total 33 districts, the majority of regions reported cases below 10 whereas, few regions reported zero cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,77,341 positive cases, of which 3,852 are active cases, 6,69,488 are recovered/discharged cases and 4,001 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.84 % and the fatality rate of the Wuhan virus is at 0.59 percent.
