Telangana Health Minister Warns Doctors And Health Staff Of Second Wave of COVID-19

The Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajender announced the second wave Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 alert in Telangana.

On the 14th of April, the Telangana Health Ministry alerted the State doctors and paramedical staff in the wake of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

The statement and COVID-19 wave warning was given during a video conference with the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHOs.) Chaired by Etala Rajender, the video conference was about the situation at hospitals, COVID-19 centres, availability of beds and necessary equipment for COVID-19 patients.

As per sources, Mr. Etala Rajender also advised the ASHA healthcare workers and doctors of primary health centres to intensify the identification of the COVID-19 infected people in the State. The State Health Department also asked the doctors to begin with three Ts rule, Track, Test and Treat (TTT.)

The Health Minister also directed the doctors to take steps and keep a stock of medicines and oxygen cylinders required for COVID-19 patients. He asked them to coordinate with local village panchayat and municipal officials on the issue of handing over the bodies of corona patients to their family members.

The video conferencing came at a time when the State is witnessing a massive rise in the Novel Coronavirus cases. The COVID-19 cases continue to increase in Telangana. There were 2,157 fresh virus cases and 8 deaths in the past 24 hours, on the 14th of April.

Meanwhile, Telangana has 3,07,499 recovered/discharged cases, 25,459 are active cases and 1,780 deceased cases.

Telangana’s recovery rate also fell down to 91.86 % and fatality rate is at 0.53 %.
