On the 14th of April, the Andhra Pradesh Government announced to conduct the 10th and 12th boards exam of Andhra Pradesh Board.

The Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh announced the same and said the boards and Intermediate exams would be held as per the schedule. His decision pertaining to 10th and 12th examination amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 came hours after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced to cancel class 10th boards exams,

Adimulapu Suresh said, “Precautions against COVID-19 are being taken in all schools. The department is reviewing the situation every day and COVID-19 tests of students are being conducted.” He further added, “The Government will think of cancelling the exams if the number of cases increases in forthcoming weeks. Stern actions will be taken on those educational institutions which will not follow guidelines.” the Minister added.

However, a final decision regarding the State Board examination would be taken after a high level review meeting. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh would chair the meeting and review the matter.

Meanwhile, as per the Andhra Pradesh Education Department issued schedule, class 10th exams are scheduled in June and the examinations for Intermediate is in May 2021.
