The Osmania University (OU) administration announced an extension of holidays. The administration on the 16th of January, Sunday, extended holidays for all its colleges from the 17th of January 17 to the 30th of January.
The decision came after the recent order of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government. Notably, the K. Chandrashekar Government ordered to extend the holidays for all educational institutions until the 30th of January, amid the rising number of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. Following the orders of the State Government, the Osmania University (OU) issued a press release.
The university has directed principals of the colleges under its jurisdiction to conduct online classes during this period. In addition, the authority also appealed to all the students to take necessary precautions at their places to stay safe and healthy.
