Telangana Recovery Rate Reduces To 97.79 % With 10,203 Active Cases

In the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 749 new cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus. After reporting below 500 cases on the 11th of July, the State reported more than 500 COVID-19 cases for the three consecutive days.

However, compared to the 13th of July, the next day, (14th of July) Telangana reported 18 less cases. On the 13th of July, Telangana reported 767 single day Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.

On the 14th of July, the Telangana Health Ministry released a media bulletin and update about the COVID-19 situation in the State. As per the media bulletin, Telangana reported 749 new cases, 5 fatalities and 605 recoveries in the past 24 hours.

The new cases were confirmed after conducting COVID-19 tests of 1.15 lakh (1,15,237) samples, taking the cumulative total to 2 crores till date. Compared to the 13th of July COVID-19 data, the State reported an increase in deaths and decrease in recovery cases.

However, it is to be noted, the State is constantly reporting below 1,000 cases, especially after the Telangana Government imposed a strict lockdown.

With this, Telangana now has 6,33,895 positive cases, of which 10,203 are active cases, 6,19,949 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,743 are deceased cases.

In Telangana, instead of the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) on Wednesday, Khamman reported the highest number of cases with 84 cases, followed by the GHMC with 77 cases.

With this, the recovery rate of Telangana fell to 97.79% from the previous 97.82 % recovery rate. In addition, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remains stable at 0.58 %.
