In the past 24 hours, Telangana registered 1,446 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
According to the media bulletin released on the night of the 13th of October, the State recorded 1,446 new cases, 1,918 recoveries and 8 fatalities.
Of the total cases of COVID-19, highest was reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits (252,) followed by Rangareddy (135,) Medchal Malkajgiri (131) and Karimnagar (74.)
With these updates, Telangana recorded 2,16,238, positive cases, of which 23,728 are active cases, 1,91,000 recovered/discharged cases and 1,241 deceased.
Of the total 23,728 active Coronavirus cases, 19,413 are in the home isolation and the remaining are in government institutions.
In addition, the Telangana Health Department conducted 40,056 sample tests for the Novel Coronavirus. The total tests include 17,624 tests on primary contacts and 4,806 tests on secondary contacts by government hospitals. The remaining tests were conducted by private labs in the State. In addition, 1,049 sample’s results for the COVID-19 infection are yet to come.
So far, 36,64,152 samples have been tested across the state since the pandemic broke out in March.
