KCR Mourns Demise Of Famous Kuchipudi Dancer Sobha Naidu

On the 14th of October, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, mourned the death of famous Kuchipudi dancer Sobha Naidu. 

On the 14th of October, Padma Shree Awardee Sobha Naidu passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Born in 1956 at Anakapalli in Andhra Pradesh, Sobha Naidu is a famous Kuchipudi dancer. She took training in Kuchipudi dance from Vempati Chinna Satyam. In 1991, she received the Sangeet Natak Akademi award and she was also awarded with the title of ‘Nritya Choodamani’ by the Sri Krishna Gana Sabha of Madras.

Ms. Naidu received Padma Shri award in 2001.

KCR recalled Sobha Naidu and her excellence in the Kuchipudi dance form.

The Telangana Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family.
