For the third consecutive day, the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are below 1,000.
With the efforts of The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, the COVID-19 situation is improving in the State. Since the past few days, the State has been witnessing a fewer number of single day cases of the Wuhan virus.
On the 29th of June, Telangana recorded 987 new cases, 7 deaths and 1,362 recovered/discharged cases of the Novel Coronavirus. The updated figures were confirmed by the Telangana Health Department, through a bulletin released to the media.
The State Health Department releases the bulletin everyday at 8:00 P.M.
According to the health bulletin released on the 29th of June, Telangana now has 6,22,593 positive cases, of which 13,487 are active cases, 6,05,455 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,651 are deceased cases.
In Telangana, the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of cases with 130 cases, followed by Khammam (102,) Nalgonda (69) and Suryapet (64.)
In addition, according to the bulletin, the Telangana Medical Department conducted 1,21,236 sample tests for COVID-19, taking the total to 1.85 crores (1, 85,62,105) till the 30th of June.
With this, the recovery rate of Telangana improved to 97.24 % from the previous 97.18% recovery rate. In addition, the fatality rate from COVID-19 is at 0.58 %.
Meanwhile, compared to the previous 88 containment zones, there are 82 active containment zones in Telangana. Of these, the highest number of containment zones are in Mahabubabad and Hyderabad (20) followed by 19 in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
