Recently, on the 20th of April, the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases started increasing in sub urban areas of Telangana. In the Gollapalli area of Shamshabad region, close to 100 people tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus infection.

All the COVID-19 affected people attended a farmer’s conference organized by the Department of Agriculture. One hundred people were diagnosed with the Novel Coronavirus infection.

Besides Gollapalli, many villages of Shamshabad region reported a massive rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. Several students studying at Golconda public school also tested COVID-19 positive.

In the wake of the large number of COVID-19 cases in Gollapalli village, the citizens of the village decided to undergo a voluntary lockdown. To avoid further spread of the Novel Coronavirus and prevent the number of cases, the villagers of Gollapalli decided to impose a lockdown in the village.

The lockdown would continue until the situation gets better in the area. In addition, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government led by K. Chandrashekar Rao is also taking steps to bring the situation under control.

Recently, on the 20th of April, the TRS Government announced a night curfew in the State until the 30th of April. The 10 days night curfew would begin everyday at 9:00 P.M., and would continue till 5:00 A.M., the next morning.

The decision to impose the curfew was taken to break the chain of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 disease.

Meanwhile, till the 21st of April, the State reported 3.61 lakh positive cases, of which 42,853 are active cases, 1,856 deceased cases and 3.16 lakh are recovered/discharged cases.
