The Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus, for the fourth consecutive day reported cases numbering above 200.
On Thursday, the 30th of September, Telangana reported 214 new cases with two deaths and only 208 recoveries.
In addition, of the new cases, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region with 64 new cases. Of all the districts, the GHMC limit showed no improvement and reports more than 50 cases regularly.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department. On the evening of the 30th of September, the department released a media bulletin and updated information about the COVID-19 situation in the State.
With this, Telangana now has 6,65,963 positive cases, of which 4,624 are active cases, 6,57,421 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,918 are deceased. The recovery rate of Telangana fell to 98.71% from the previous 98.72% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past two and half months at 0.58 %.
However, in the South Indian region, Telangana is the only state with low single day cases of the Wuhan virus. Other states like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the COVID-19 situation is risky with a high number of cases and active cases above 5,000.
It is to be noted, of the total active cases, 79.90 % cases are asymptomatic, whereas, only 20.10 % are symptomatic.
