On Sunday, the 24th of October, Telangana reported 135 new cases with one death and 168 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 26,842 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection.
On Sunday, the State Health Department conducted less than usual 40,000 tests for COVID-19.
With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department crossed 2.73 crore COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, despite the low number of cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region reported 64, the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases. Of all the districts, the GHMC limit is the only region with more than 50 new Wuhan virus cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,70,274 positive cases, of which 3,950 are active cases, 6,62,377 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,947 are deceased. The recovery rate of Telangana is now at 98.82 % and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past four months at 0.58 %.
