The Aryan Khan Drug case took a new turn, after the Bombay High Court (HC) denied bail. On the 11th of October, the High Court rejected his bail plea and put the matter for the 13th of October. However, the matter would be heard by a special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS) Court Mumbai, on Wednesday at 2:45 P.M.

At the last hearing, on the 8th of October, the HC announced 14 days of judicial custody to Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and others arrested in the Mumbai cruise drug case. The other people arrested in the drug case along with Aryan Khan are Arbaaz Merchant, Mohak Jaswal, Nupur Satija and Munmun Dhamecha.

Taking a dig at the Central Government and the Investigation agency in the Aryan Khan drug case, Ms. Mehbuba Mufti, the President of the People Democratic Party, said, “Instead of making an example out of a Union Minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23 year old simply because his surname happens to be Khan. Travesty of justice that muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJPs core vote bank.”

On the 3rd of October, Aryan Khan, 23 years old, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials for his involvement in a drugs related case. Aryan Khan was arrested with seven others during a raid at a cruise party, where drugs were available and consumed. The raid started at 10 A.M., on Sunday night and continued till 2:00 P.M. After the intensified search, the anti drug agency found Aryan Khan was involved. Initially Aryan Khan and others were under the NCB custody, but on the 7th of October, all the accused were remanded to judicial custody. They are currently in the Arthur Jail, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Aryan Khan has been booked under Sections 27 (punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance), 8C (produce, manufacture, possess, sell or purchase of drugs) and other relevant provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS.)

In addition, the NCB is continuing their investigation and grilled Bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan and his driver with questions related to the matter. The investigation in the drug matter is underway.
