Bajrangi Bhaijaan earns Rs 150 crore, Salman Khan to donate profits to farmers

Mumbai: The much-talked-about film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, starring Salman Khan in a major role, managed to collect Rs 150 crore in just five days after the release. The film opened in cinemas on Friday, a day before Eid.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the movie maintained its ‘triumphant gallop’ at the box office. On Twitter, he wrote-

Though, the film entered Rs 150 crore club it is behind the box office collections of ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali”. The epic drama “Baahubali” created new records at box office and is running successfully in packed houses.

Directed by Kabir Khan, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” also emerged as Salman’s highest grosser and is riding high on silver screens. Director Kabir Khan with Salman’s sister Alvira Khan and BJP’s Shaina NC met Maharashtra revenue minister Eknath Khadse to invite “the political class” to watch the movie. Shaina said that the movie is a story of a cross-border issue and the makers wish to donate the money from the profits of the movie to farmers, who are committing suicide.
