We have been seeing this trend of a teaser or an audio or a film of the hero releasing on his Birthday for a long time now, this is understandable to be good for a film publicity wise. Now a days, Birthdays have become so commercial that Tollywood has gone a step ahead and started releasing teasers, posters and audio of not just the hero’s but the heroes of the Family. Now this is some innovative thinking to get maximum mileage for publicity.
Recently, two Big heroes of Tollywood have celebrated their Birthdays in style. Megastar Chiranjeevi & King Nagarjuna.
The Mega star was supposed to reveal details about his 150th film with Puri which has been canceled in the last minute due to disagreements about the story. However, the event has given a huge stage to publicize Ram Charan-Srinu Vaitla’s “Bruce Lee” and Sai Dharam Tej-Harish Shankar’s “Subramanyam for Sale”. Ofcourse we have another one, the teaser for which was released on Aug 15th Varun Tej-Krish’s “Kanche” which we feel is the most promising of all the three so far. Bunny was the only one left out with his movies still in progress.
While Chiru’s Birthday became such a big platform for the family’s movies to be publicized so much, King Nagarjuna’s Birthday was no less. Nagarjuna gave the Grandest launch movie teaser of his younger son Akhil’s movie directed by none other than the power house of mass and action V.V.Vinayak titled “Akhil – The Power of Jua” was released by none other than Bollywood’s Matinee Idol Salman Khan. Not stopping there, we also have another stylish teaser of his elder son Naga Chaitanya released directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and an A R Rahman musical “Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo” on the same day. The film has a feel of the 2010 blockbuster “Ye Maya Chesave” of the same combination looking at the way camera is handled, however, this movie is a love-action combination as told by Gautham and Chay. We also see Rana Daggubati’s name floating around as a special appearance, no spoilers so far about this though! Looks like Nag’s doing a great job in ensuring both his sons careers are hitting the right chords with the audience.
Oh by the way!! We also had Nikhil’s Sankharabharam’s poster released on the occasion of Nag’s birthday with an interesting Title format
Having said that.. The next Birthday is of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. What SPECIAL can we expect on his Birthday?????
