Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the Constitution is the ultimate safeguard for democracy, ensuring equality and justice for all citizens. Addressing a gathering during Constitution Day celebrations at the State Secretariat, he stated that India’s Constitution is so robust that no force can undermine it. “If atrocious forces come to power and violate constitutional norms, people will deliver a fitting response through the power of their vote,” he said.
The Chief Minister paid homage to Dr. BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, by garlanding his statue and highlighting his visionary leadership. Chandrababu Naidu noted that under the TDP-led NDA government, democratic values have been revitalized in Andhra Pradesh. He also praised Telugu leaders like Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, and Acharya NG Ranga for their contributions to shaping the Constitution and acknowledged Pingali Venkayya for designing the National Flag.
Marking 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution, Chandrababu called for collective efforts to achieve Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of equality. He reiterated his commitment to making Andhra Pradesh the leader in per capita income, wealth, health, and happiness by 2047.
On the occasion, participants, including ministers and senior officials, joined the Chief Minister in reciting the Preamble of the Constitution.
