Mumbai: Earlier, there was buzz stating the bankable couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are teaming up for their next project under the direction of ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But there was no official confirmation on the same.
While speaking to media in Spain, actress Deepika Padukone stated that she will begin the shoot of her upcoming film in September. However, she didn’t reveal the project details but speculation is rife that her next movie is “Padmavati”, starring Ranveer Singh in a lead role. The Sanjay leela Bhansali’s “Padmavati” will also feature “Raman Raghav 2.0” star Vicky Kaushal in a prominent character.

It is heard that “Padmavati” revolves around the great emperor Alauddin Khilji and his love for the queen of Mewar, Padmavati. If all goes well, the upcoming film marks the successful trio – Deepika, Ranveer and Bhansali’s third outing after “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela” and “Bajirao Mastani”.
