Nellore: In one of the rare cases, Andhra doctors removed uterus from a man’s body after he complained hospital of hernia on Thursday.
According to the reports, Amaresh, a farmworker and a native of Itukapalli village near House in Tamil Nadu went to hospital at Kuppam on Tuesday night. He complained about unbearable stomach pain. While monitoring him doctors were stunned to see an empty bag in the place of testicles and the patient confirmed that he had seen that way since birth.
According to the doctors, Uterus was removed form the 23-year- old man. Dr. Sudheer said they were shocked when they found an uterus and even ovaries, like in a woman, but without the physiological functions of uterus or menstrual phases, ovaries had been doing the job of testicles.
He further added, “We have removed the uterus and he can lead a normal life after marriage and have children too without any hassles.”
