This year, Philippines’ Pia Alonso Wurtzbach won the most-loved title of Miss Universe 2015. On Sunday evening, at the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas, host Steve Harvey accidently announced Miss Colombia as the winner instead of Miss Philippines.
He announced the wrong name during the live telecast of the event and in front of thousands of spectators. He announced that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez won the title and she was crowned. Later, he realized his mistake and apologized to the audience.
Harvey said, “Okay folks…I have to apologize.” He then announced that Miss Philippine, Pia Alonso Wurtzbach as the winner. He also stated, “I will take responsibility for the mistake.”
