Mahesh Babu is one of the biggest stars in the Tollywood industry and recent reports suggested he planned a debut in Bollywood. This rumor arose when the Spyder actor landed in Mumbai after a family vacation in Paris.
The rumor mill went in overdrive with speculations of a Bollywood debut. However, Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar dismissed the claims stating her husband had no plans of joining the Bollywood squad.
Clarifying the speculations Namrata said, “(He) did come to Mumbai but not to meet any Bollywood producer.” She further explained that he was in the city “to meet his hairstylist Hakim Aalim to discuss looks for his untitled next.”
Mahesh Babu began shooting for the untitled film in Dehradun on Monday. The film is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally with Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat visited Babu on the sets of the film and greeted him.
A part of the film will be shot in Dehradun and the remaining will be filmed in the U.S. Mahesh Babu was last seen playing the lead in Bharat Ane Nenu with Prakash Raj and Kiara Advani.
