National award winning actress Kalpana passed away

Thiruvananthapuram: National award-winning actress Kalpana passed away this morning in Hyderabad due to heart attack. 51-year-old actress was in Hyderabad for the shooting of a film and to attend the IIFA award function.
The actress was seen in 300 movies including recent superhit ‘Charlie’. She was declared dead at a hospital around 7am. The actress’ body is expected to be brought to Kerala later today. She is survived by her daughter.

‘Kakki Sattai’, ‘Idhaya Thiruda’, ‘Sathi Leelavathi’ and ‘Chinna Veedu’ are among her Tamil films.
