Mumbai: Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni’s husband Vicky Goswami, is allegedly the mastermind of a massive scheme to smuggle drugs made in a factory near Mumbai to the US through Kenya, where the couple reside. Earlier he was arrested in 2014 before given bail.
According to the reports, raid at a pharmaceutical factory the Thane police found nearly 20,000 kilos of substances used in party drug. The material found is worth 2,000 crores.
A team from the US Drug Enforcement Agency has also met the Thane police for information. Seven people have been arrested for their role in what investigators describe as an international drug cartel.
The seven people who have been taken into custody this past month, have revealed their links with Goswami and others involved in the racket. The police have however not yet been able to trace down Goswami’s where about. Mamta had starred in some of the biggest blockbusters in the 1990’s which included films like ‘Baazi’ and ‘Karan Arjun’.
