Chennai: Undeniably, filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s next venture “Kaatru Veliyidai” is one of the most looked-for films in the South. The director, who is known for his story-telling skills, is busy shooting another romantic drama after bagging success with “O Kadhal Kanmani”.
Tipped to be a romantic entertainer, “Kaatru Veliyidai” stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the leads. The first schedule of the upcoming film, which was being shot in Ooty, has been successfully completed. The team is expected to land in Kashmir for the second schedule.
A source from the film’s unit told IANS, “On Sunday, the Ooty schedule was wrapped up. The team will take a short break and then head to Kashmir next. In Kashmir, the team plans to shoot a song and a few important scenes.”
Produced by Madras Talkies, the drama also features Shraddha Srinath, Rukmini Vijayakumar, R J Balaji, Delhi Ganesh and veteran Malayalam actress Lalitha. Music director A R Rahman is composing tunes.
