Illumination Entertainment has just turned eight years, yet it has already created history at box-office. Minions has banged the box-office with its huge collection. Misions has officially become Illumination Entertainment’s first film to strike $1 Billion at the global box office ($321 million domestic and $682 million internationally). Minions now hold the title for the highest revenue generated animated film of 2015, not just that but also the highest grossing animated film that is not produced by Disney.
Universal and Illumination have certainly recognized this fact, so all they needed to do was simply jump on the earliest available opportunity to promote the heck out of this film.
Illumination Entertainment are definitely the masters an effective marketing campaign and to that end, this achievement was only to be expected.
