Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie Is the WWII Action-Thriller ‘Dunkirk’

Christoper Nolan’s next film will be about France during World War II. Nolan will direct WWII film Dunkirk based on his original screenplay.

The action adventure movie, will be based on the the legendary 1940 evaluation in France. The leads of this film is yet-to-be confirmed but Kenneth Barnagh, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy are presently in talks to join the flick.

This large scale film will be shot on a wave of IMAX 65 mm and 65mm large format film photography. The shooting of this will begin in May. The 45-year-old director will be producing this film with his long time producer partner and spouse wife Emma Thomas.

According to the French newspapers Nolan was planning a WWII movie, and that he and his brother, screenwriter Jonathan Nolan, had been scouting in Dunkirk. The story centers on the 1940 evacuation of more than 300,000 Allied troops who were surrounded by the German army in the French city of Dunkirk.
