Pune: Another horrific incident with in a day. A woman was allegedly assaulted by two Pune Infosys campus employees.
According to the police reports, the woman working as a cashier at the canteen in Pune Infosys was allegedly assaulted by two persons inside the canteen.
The woman was assaulted on December 27 by two housekeepers, who were arrested on Tuesday. An FIR has been lodged against the two and the police is investigating the matter.
As per the official reports, one of the two accused had assaulted the woman in the lavatory while the other took the video of the mishap. The accused threatened the victim of not to inform others about the incident else they would make the video footage public.
Reacting to the incident, Infosys said in a statement that the company is working closely with the police to aid their investigation. “We have stringent security measures and have a zero tolerance policy against harassment extending to contractual staff too. The company will take necessary action as per policy,” Infosys statement said.
