Mumbai: Popular television star Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide on April 1 and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh is accused of abetment of her suicide. Now, on Monday the doctors of J Hospital confirmed that she was pregnant. They also added that probably she had undergone an abortion not long before her death. On the basis of a histopathological examination of tissues from the uterus, doctors confirmed the pregnancy, as per reports.
According to reports, findings showed that she had conceived few days or a month before her death and there was a premature death of the foetal cell. Reports added that the products of conception, or the placental or foetal tissue in the uterus found following delivery, termination of pregnancy or a miscarriage, were infected and degenerated.
However, the doctors added that it is difficult to carry out a DNA test to find the paternity of the child. Now, the new findings added twist to the alleged suicide case of the Pratyusha.
