Mumbai: Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who shot to fame with “Balika Vadhu”, committed suicide on Friday at her residence in Mumbai. The demise of the 24-year-old actress shocked everyone and also led to many speculations.
After her death, when the police visited her apartment during the investigation they found the house in a complete mess. If reports are to be believed, Pratyusha’s apartment was strewn with cigarette butts, clothes, liquor bottles and half-eaten packets of snacks.
A special team headed to her place to reconstruct her suicide. It is heard that with the help of dupatta, she strangled herself from a ceiling fan, which was close to the main door.
Pratyusha shared her apartment with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. He was the first one to find her hanging. Later he rushed her to the Kokilaben Hospital where she was declared dead.
