Chennai: All eyes are on the upcoming drama “Kabali”! Super star Rajinikanth starrer “Kabali” is undeniably one of the most-anticipated releases of the year and the release of the official teaser added more fuel to the sky-high expectations. Now, reports surfaced in the tinsel town stating that the movie has been booked for Rs 200 crore even before the release.
The makers planned to release the film in nearly 5000 screens across the globe in different languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malay, Chinese and Thai. The movie maker of the “Kabali” said that nearly 500 screens would show the movie in the US.
Written and directed by Pa. Ranjith, the movie stars critically acclaimed actress Radhika Apte in a romantic lead role opposite Rajini and Taiwanese superstar Winston Chao will be seen playing the role of the villain. The film is slated for a July release.
