Mumbai: The beautiful actress of Indian cinema, Rekha is all set to receive the Yash Chopra Memorial Award. The veteran actress will be honoured with the most prestigious award for her ocean of talent and immense contribution to the film industry.
The Yash Chopra Memorial award has been instituted by the TSR Foundation of T Subbarami Reddy in the memory of the movie maker, Yash Chopra, who passed away in 2012. Every year, the foundation honours a distinguished senior film personality for their contribution to the industry. The film personalities will be felicitated with a Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh. The ever green beauty will be honoured on February 2, 2016 by the Governor of Maharashtra in the city.
A statement says that the Bollywood actress Rekha was declared for the award by the jury after considering actors – Jaya Prada, Boney Kapoor, Hema Malini, Pam Chopra and Simi Garewal.
