Mumbai: On Monday, the Rajasthan High Court acquitted Bollywood super star Salman Khan in Chinkara and Blackbuck poaching cases of 1998. Justice Nirmaljeet Kaur of Jodhpur principal seat of High Court pronounced the verdict. Salman has reportedly been given the benefit of doubt.
The Bollywood actor and seven others were allegedly involved in poaching of a Blackbuck and Chinkara near Jodhpur in two different incidents. One of the animal was killed on September 26, 1998 at Bhawad and the other at Ghoda Farma on September 28, 1998. Under the Arms Act, a case was registered with Luni Police Station in Jodhpur. The incident took place when they were shooting for the movie “Hum Sath Sath Hain”.
