Mumbai: Actress Shweta Basu Prasad has signed a Marathi-Bengali bilingual flick of filmmaker Amit Khanna. After stepping out of the controversy of flesh trade racket, the actress is gearing up to build her career with extra care and energy. It seems Shweta left her past behind and making a fresh start.
According to reports, the 24-year-old actress signed the untitled bilingual film and said that it is a performance oriented role and is an exciting script. The movie is expected to be shot in Nashik and Kolkata.
Shweta added that she understands Marthi well and has seen many Marathi films. She praised the maker and said that she has done a couple of photo-shoots together and added that he is a talented photographer and a good story teller.
At present, Shweta has been working with Phantom films and also was working on her documentary “Roots”, based on Indian classical music.
