India celebrates its Independence day on 15th of August. Independence day is filled with patriotism and enthusiasm in the entire country. This is the time when the entire nation flaunts Tricolour up to every possible way in order to show their love and gratitude towards the country.
Irrespective of age the whole nation salutes the flag and feels very proud to be an Indian.
But, sadly here are few incidents when the celebrities have insulted the national flag knowingly or unknowingly.
Mandira Bedi: Mandira Bedi was spotted in a tricolor sari in a television channel.
Sania Mirza: Tennis ace Sania Mirza was pictured sitting with her bare feet that appeared to rest on a table next to an Indian flag.
Malini Ramani: This designer was in trouble when she was donned an Indian flag shimmer dress.
Gehna Vashishth: A complaint was registered against the model for insulting the flag and using it as a Bikini.
Mallika Sherawat: She embroiled herself in legal trouble after draping herself with the Tricolour in her upcoming movie ‘Dirty Politics’.
Shahrukh Khan: Bollywood super star was booked by Pune police for allegedly insulting the national flag.
Kim Sharma: The actress participated in the rally against the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks during which she was pinned on her top which was upside down.
Mataji Nirmala Devi: The self-proclaimed ‘GOD’ Mataji Nirmala Devi, was seen insulting the national flag.
