Sonam Kapoor’s “Neerja” declared tax free in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The story of India’s daughter “Neerja” is winning hearts across the country. Now, the biopic on the brave heart, Neerja Bhanot has been declared tax-free in Maharashtra. Starring Sonam Kapoor in a titular role, the film tells us the great story of young flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life while saving the lives of passengers on the flight Pan Am, which was hijacked by the terrorists.

The movie maker Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios said, “A big thank you to the Government of Maharashtra for recognising what an ordinary 23-year-old girl did in an extraordinary situation. We are truly grateful to the government for this move as it will only help in more people coming and experiencing the life and the feat of India’s hero Neerja.”

Actress Sonam Kapoor also took to her Twitter and wrote, “A big Thank You to the Government of Maharashtra for making #Neerja tax free with immediate effect. Humbled.”
